Occupational and Trade Definitions

Most old Trade & Residents Directories contained abbreviations. Most, if not all abbreviations related to a person's occupation.

Here we have tried to provide definitions to those abbreviations, but be warned: some abbreviations have left us baffled, and in those cases we have provided "possible" explanations, until such time as a true definition is found. We hope that the table below is of some use to you.
