FARMERSVILLE SMASHING Mrs. Carrie Nation Breaks Bottles and Snatches Cigaretts. LECTURED THERE LAST NIGHT Arrived in McKinney This Afternoon and Will Lecture at Opera House Tonight McKinney Daily Courier Gazette, March 25, 1905 Mrs. Carrie Nation, the noted Kansas saloon smasher, lectured at the Woodmen hall in Farmersville last night. This morning she went into J Horn's place of business in that town and called for "something to drink." A bottle was set out to her, where-upon she picked it up, tasted of its contents and threw it at the large mirror, breaking the bottle. She then picked up a glass and threw it at the mirror, and had raised her hand to throw a salt cellar when she was seized by some one. She left at once for the railroad station. On her way she came in contact with a small boy with a cigarette in his mouth. She immediately snatched it from his mouth, and delivered him a lecture. She took the train for Princeton, stopping over there until this afternoon. She arrived in McKinney on the 4:40 M K & T local, and will lecture at the opera house tonight.
